The working principle of Stainless Steel Ss316 45 Degree Y Type Needle Valves
At the end of the mandrel is a tampered needle that moves into the valve seat so it can restrict or stop fluid flow through it. The movement of the needle in and out of the seat is controlled by a handwheel operated spindle. Fluid passing through the valve will turn ninety degrees and pass through an orifice whose size can be changed by placing a cone against the seat. The needle plunger is at the end of the screw, so when the screw is turned the plunger will retract and flow between the plunger and the seat is possible. Fluid flow will be impeded until the plunger is retracted and flow adjustment can be made. Some properly threaded stems have slow linear motion, so the full flow portion requires many turns, making needle valves suitable for regulating flow.
